ECHO Phone

With the support of our generous partners in local public health and safety agencies, ECHO added another key resource to our well-stocked communications toolkit in 2005 with the launching of ECHO Phone (1-888-883-8831)

ECHO Phone, toll-free in the state of Minnesota, (tolls apply out of state) serves limited English speaking communities across the country (graph of ECHO phone usage by location here) by providing seasonal health and safety advice and emergency preparedness information in multiple languages.

During a public health or safety crisis, ECHO Phone will provide updated emergency messaging and instructions from health and safety officials.  Users are encouraged to call in frequently for the most up-to-date information.
