ECHO Minnesota is partnering with Bloomington Public Health to support multi-lingual education, community engagement, and outreach initiatives with the Somali and Latino communities. Working with Somali and Latino community leaders, ECHO defined specific training needs with the Bloomington Police Department as part of cultural training sessions for law enforcement officers. ECHO was honored to provide four thought-provoking and engaging training sessions to the Bloomington Police Department alongside ECHO Somali and Latino spokespeople.
ECHO is excited to continue this work by engaging the community in Bloomington in discussing public health, community engagement, and increasing the participation of New Americans in Neighborhood Watch and Community Emergency Response Team Programs.
